Andrea

Hello my name is Andrea and I am so pleased to be part of the Student Council.  I am in Year 8 and I am eleven years old.  My hobbies are gymnastics, gaelic, swimming and I love reading.  I am the class librarian, which is a role I thoroughly enjoy.  I promise to work to the best of my ability to make Little Flower Girls’ School an even better place.  I will do this by listening to and helping other pupils.  Although I have only been here since September, I am really impressed and I am looking forward to great years ahead.

Tierna

Hello, my name is Tierna and I'm twelve years old. I have only started Little Flower in September and I am and so delighted to have been voted on to the Student Council. I am honoured to be one of the three representatives for my year group. As a member of the Student Council I hope to contribute to all the great ideas that the students have for this year.

Roxanne

Hi, my name is Roxanne and I am a Year 8 student. When I found out that I was in Little Flower’s Student Council I was literally over the moon. I can’t wait to put all of our brilliant ideas into action and make our school even better. My favourite subject is Drama because I just love acting. I am so excited for the year ahead in Little Flower.

Chloe

Hi my name is Chloe and I am in Year 9. My favourite subject is Drama because it helped to boost my confidence and actually apply for the Student Council this year. In my spare time I love to listen to music and to play Mindcraft on my Play Station 3. I am so grateful for this opportunity and I am fully committed to working hard and being a great ambassador for my year group.

Abaigeal

Hello my name is Abaigeal and I am a Year 9 student. I am really happy that I was elected onto the Student Council this year. I feel so honoured and privileged to have been given such an amazing opportunity. In my spare time I love going to my local Youth Club. I am an enthusiastic and outgoing person and I am really looking forward to the year ahead.

Stacey

My name is Stacey, I am thirteen years old and now a Year 9 student. I am so delighted to be a part of the Student Council. I love being involved in school life and I am fully committed to working really hard this year. I have a keen interest in sports with a particular interest in dance. I attend ‘Studio 1’ for my dance lessons on a weekly basis. I absolutely love dance and really enjoy entering the competitions. I also love singing and drama. I am so excited for the year ahead and I can’t wait to speak out and have my voice heard.

Kylie

My name is Kylie and I'm in 10M. This year I was elected onto the Student Council. I was so surprised when I found out that I was elected. I'm happy because last year I tried and unfortunately didn’t get elected but I didn't give up. This year I hope to make a change in the school for the better and to make new friends.  Thanks to all the Year 10 girls who voted for me.

Aoife

Hello I am Aoife and I am in 10C. I have recently been elected onto the Student Council. I am really looking forward to the busy year ahead. I feel so honoured and privileged to have been elected by my peers and I certainly won’t let them down. I am thinking of lots of new ideas to make our school a better place.

Una

My name is Una Fitzsimons and I am currently in Year 10. I decided to join Student Council because I like the idea of making the school better. When I heard that I was voted to represent my year group in the Student Council I was overwhelmed. I am a member of the school choir, musical theatre group and I am also acting in the upcoming school production of The Wizard of Oz. I believe that the Student Council is the best way to get your voice heard and change the school for the better. I believe that I am hard working and will be able to think of great ideas for the upcoming school year. Sophie

My name is Sophie and I am fifteen years old. I am extremely pleased that I was elected to represent Year 11 on the Student Council alongside my peer Keechee Wang. I want to be more involved in events that happen within school and being part of the Student Council allows me to do this. I also want to help voice the opinions of the students at Little Flower. Along with the other members of the Student Council, I hope to increase students' involvement within all aspects of school life. Feel free to approach me with any questions or ideas for the Student Council. I also have a keen interest in Art and Science and I am a member of the New Lodge Arts.

Dzsenifer 

Hi everyone my name is Dzsenifer and I am in Year 11. I am totally thrilled to be on the Student Council this year. When I heard Mrs Sampson announce my name at assembly I was so shocked and my heart started to beat faster and faster as I walked up on the stage. I am really looking forward to the busy year ahead with the Student Council. I have really enjoyed the few meetings that we have had so far this term.

Gabrielle

My name is Gabrielle and I am fourteen years old.  I am very pleased that I was elected onto the Student Council.  I want to be more involved in the events that happen within the school and I feel that being a member of the Student Council is the best way for me to achieve this.  I also want to help voice the opinions of my fellow students so please feel free to approach me with your ideas and suggestions.  I am also involved in my local community and I do a lot of volunteer work.  I am really looking forward to the year ahead.

Caitlin

My name is Caitlin Mc Shane and I am in Year 12. This is my first year running for Student Council and I was so surprised when I got elected. I am honoured to be a member of the Student Council and to represent my year group. I am a confident, bright and successful person who wants to do well in life. Music and Drama are my favourite subjects in school. I am a member of the New Lodge Arts Youth Club. I want to make a difference and I am going to work really hard in this coming year.

Christina

Hello, my name is Christina and I am sixteen years old.  I have recently been elected onto the Student Council and I am so thrilled. I am an open minded person and very willing to listen and discuss the ideas that my peers have.  In my spare time I really enjoy playing the guitar and listening to music.  I am excited about the year ahead.

Roisin

My name is Roisin and I am in Year 12. When I heard my name announced at assembly, that I had been elected onto the Student Council I was completely overwhelmed. I am an enthusiastic and determined student who will do everything that I can to ensure that the ‘Student Voice’ is heard in Little Flower. I am genuinely thrilled to have been given such a great opportunity. Thanks to everyone who voted for me.

Keechee

My name is Keechee and I am in Year 12. This is my third consecutive year on the Student Council and I am delighted. We were so successful last year and I sure we will be the same this year again. I really enjoy the meetings and listening to and discussing all the innovative ideas that are put forward to the Student Council. I am a keen musician and swimmer. I am a member of the school choir and orchestra. I am really looking forward to our school production of The Wizard of Oz.

Year 13


 

Molly

I am Molly Sanderson and I am a Year 13 in Little Flower. I am so excited to be a part of Student Council this year. I hope to bring new inspirational ideas to the Student Council. I have a certificate in Level 1 Leadership Skills which shows my independence and my ability to be able to communicate with others. I believe people can approach me as I am a very open and trustworthy person. I attended theatre school for four years which helped me gain a lot confidence. While attending theatre school I had the opportunity to help organise meetings, rehearsals and contribute my ideas towards the new shows and scripts. In 2011 I helped out in a youth club by arranging activities and events for the members to do. All these things show that I am hard working, organised and creative. I look forward the year ahead and working with the other members of the Student Council.

 

Seana

My name is Seaná and I am a Year 13 student in Little Flower. I feel very honoured to have been chosen to be part of the Student Council by my fellow peers. I am a very hard working and dedicated student. I feel as though I am an approachable student and I am looking forward to working with the rest of the Student Council.

Cadhla

My name is Cadhla and I am a Year 13 student. I am so privileged to have been given this opportunity. I feel that I am an enthusiastic and approachable person. I am heavily involved in my local community in terms of Youth Work. I also volunteer at the 174 Trust each Tuesday night which involves working with children with a range of disabilities. I thoroughly enjoy this as I love working with people. Next year I am travelling to Romania to help people who are less fortunate which I am just delighted to be able to do. I look forward to the year ahead and seeing the ideas that the new Student Council of 2016/2017 come up with.

Year 14


 

Meave

My name is Maeve and I am a Year 14 pupil. I feel completely honoured to be voted on the Student Council this year, especially since this is my last year. I have been appointed as Vice-Chairperson in the Student Council, a position which I am so looking forward to. I am excited to work with Mrs Sampson, Mr Mc Keever, the Board or Governors and the other Student Council members to bring our ideas to life, so that the school can be the best it can be for the students and the staff.

Claire

Hello my name is Claire Maitland and I am a Year 14 student. As Head Girl I am an honorary member of the Student Council, however this will be by fourth term in office. I currently study History, Religion and Health and Social Care. I really enjoy all three of my subjects as I find them very interesting. I am also a prefect and I work in the tuck shop. Outside of school I am a volunteer youth worker which recently allowed me to travel to South Africa and experience a different way of life. I am very excited for the year ahead as last year was a very success and I am hopeful that this year will be just as successful.

Clodagh

My name is Clodagh and I am currently in Year 14. I feel privileged to be a part of the Student Council as this will allow me to be more involved in school life. I am very excited to see the all the new initiatives that the Student Council will implement this year. I have been in Little Flower for six years now and I would love nothing more than to give something back to this wonderful school. Our meetings have been great so far and it has been lovely to meet and work with the junior school members. I am really looking forward to a successful year ahead in Little Flower.

 

 

Caitlyn

Hello my name is Caitlyn and I am a Year 14 student. I decided to run for Student Council this year as it’s my last year in Little Flower and I would like to give back something to my school. I am a hardworking and diligent student who is fully prepared to making this year another successful year for the Student Council.  It is just great having the opportunity to get to know the junior members of the council. I am really enjoying the whole experience so far and I am excited for the year ahead.
